Founded in 1885 by Sumner F. Dudley, Camp Dudley is the nation’s oldest camp for boys. Dudley, a nonprofit institution affiliated with the YMCA of the United States, offers boys a place to learn, grow physically and spiritually, and have the best summer of their lives in the atmosphere of placing others ahead of themselves. Dudley’s motto-”the other fellow first”- is acted out in all aspects of daily life at camp. In its 120-year history, the camp’s facilities and diverse programs have grown far beyond Mr. Dudley’s expectations. Extensive programs in sports, dramatics, art, hiking, and music are now provided each summer for hundreds of Dudley campers.
